Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Bridging FTMI ITMO Startups with Pontifical Catholic University of Peru

The Faculty of Technology Management and Innovation is actively developing international partnerships, with one of its most significant new collaborations being with the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), a prestigious institution and one of the leading University in Latin America.

The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) has established itself as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country, ranking #359 in the QS World University Rankings. Since its founding, PUCP has been committed to the comprehensive education of its students, fostering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Its academic focus and connection to the business sector have made it a benchmark in higher education in Peru.

Since 2005, the Emprende PUCP (“PUCP Entrepreneurship") program has been a fundamental pillar for the development of entrepreneurship in the country. This event has brought together over 2,000 participants in person and has reached more than 15,000 people through its virtual format. The initiative aims to boost creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit among young people, promoting an ecosystem where innovative ideas can flourish.

Recently, PUCP had the honor of inviting the Faculty of Technology Management and Innovation of ITMO to participate in this event during 29 and 30th november, creating a valuable space for international collaboration. This participation has allowed students and academics from ITMO to present their innovative projects, enriching the experience for all involved.
ITMO University presented two projects at the event:
Moros’
youth clothing and accessories brand (rus. Drizzle), representing high-end raincoats, winter accessories and corset products. Anton Potsulin, the Reverend of the ITMO FTMI, presented the project.
Tg_Shop
a web application (landing page) implemented via Telegram, which allows users to interact with various online stores through a chatbot, which was developed within the framework of the discipline "Startup Track: from idea to business", implemented by FTMI ITMO. Mikhail Lagutnik (CEO) and the team presented the project: Daniela Baisupov, Irina Kozlova, Artur Levanov.

The projects were appreciated and received offers for prospective cooperation from Peru and China.
This partnership has been made possible through the support of the Center for International Projects at the Faculty of Technology Management and Innovation. The collaboration between PUCP and the Faculty of Innovation and Technology Management of ITMO highlights the importance of international cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship. The projects presented not only reflect the creativity and talent of young entrepreneurs but also strengthen the link between academia and the business world, promoting a future full of opportunities.
